Greater independence & quality of life with personalised support
Elroi House provides adults with learning difficulties a pathway to greater independence and quality of life, underpinned by personalised support, skilled staff, and a strong emphasis on community inclusion and personal development. The primary goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where individuals can develop life skills, build confidence, and participate fully in their community
Tailored to each individual
Our model involves our staff delivering a supportive package tailored to each individual resident’s needs, incorporating specific interventions. Accordingly, the hours making up each package vary. Additionally, there is a 24-hour on-call service that is contactable by phone number from the house. Throughout the night, there are waking night support staff on duty whose responsibility it is to ensure the residents, the house, and all others are kept safe and secure during the nighttime hours.
Support Provided
Support is person-centred, meaning care plans are developed in partnership with each individual and their families to reflect unique needs and aspirations.
Services range from a few hours of assistance per week to 24/7 on-site support, depending on the level of independence and care required.
Support staff are trained to assist with:
Personal care and medication
Daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting)
Tenancy management and maintaining the home
Accessing benefits and community resources
Building confidence and social skills
Pursuing employment, education, and hobbies
